Saracens Go Forward Trip

A group of our Year 7 students, who are part of the Go Forward project, attended a 'Dragons Den' style event this month. The day consisted of the students coming up with a social action project which will positively impact their local community within a given budget.

KHS students were split into two groups - with the first coming up with 'open minds; open space' to help tackle mental health issues. The second group came up with 'don't be a litter loser' in which their initiative consisted of picking up litter around the community. The students not only had to identify the issue and create a solution; but also had to be realistic about the money they were spending as well as presenting their project to the five 'dragons'.

The feedback that we received from both the dragons and staff from the Saracens Foundation was incredible. They did themselves proud by all contributing to their projects as well as all public speaking in front of five adults.
