Post-16 Results and Destinations

Kingsbury High School is delighted to celebrate the success of its Sixth Form students, who have once again delivered strong results in both A Levels and BTEC Nationals this year.

Congratulations to our Year 13 students, who have once again achieved excellent results.

58% of all grades awarded were A*–B, a testament to the commitment and academic strength of our students and staff. BTEC National results were equally impressive, with 79% of all grades awarded at Distinction* or Distinction level.

This year, 140 students have secured confirmed university places, with the majority accepted by their first-choice institutions. Popular courses include Accounting & Finance, Computer Science, Economics, Law, Mechanical Engineering, Politics & International Relations and Social Sciences.

  • Around 90% of our Year 13 students progress to university 
  • A third of our students gain places at research-intensive Russell Group Universities including Imperial College, Warwick, UCL, King’s College, Queen Mary
  • Over the past 4 years, 8 students have gained places at Oxford or Cambridge. In 2026, 1 student gained a place to study Electrical Engineering at Oxford University. In 2024, 2 students gained places to study Law or Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge and 1 gained a place to study Psychology & Linguistics at the University of Oxford.
  • 2 students secured places to study Medicine in 2026, and 5 students in 2024
  • In 2023, 1 student secured a place to study Engineering at Stamford University in California, one of the top 10 universities in the world
  • Others have secured degree apprenticeships or apprenticeships (eg. PwC and Capgemini) and employment
  • 1% take a gap year
