Teacher Training

Congratulations on considering a career in the most exciting and rewarding profession. We love our jobs, and a big part of that is the professional development of the team around us. We’d love you to join that team.

Why Kingsbury High School?

Kingsbury High School is a large, 12 form entry, 11-18 split site school. Our school is truly diverse in its  makeup, whilst united as one family working to achieve the best for all our students. Our teachers say we are a supportive school community where there are plenty of opportunities to develop and learn from each other. Many joined as their first teaching school and have found that our size means there are frequent opportunities for career development.

We are well-located too: in an inner London location, but with an out of London feel – surrounded by parkland with large playing fields and great local amenities, and excellent transport links to enable easy access from central London and fringe areas.

Train with us

Kingsbury takes training teachers on the PGCE route from a range of providers, and we are happy to host  placements as  part of recognised   routes for initial teacher training, but would expect these enquiries to come from the  organisation offering your training

School Experience

Whichever training route you wish to follow into teaching, it’s a good idea to undertake some school experience and at Kingsbury we are happy to help when we can by offering up to ten days observation experience.  You must have an enhanced DBS check; we can help you to apply for one if you don't yet have one.  Please email Jennifer.kincaid@kingsburyhigh.org.uk to make an initial enquiry, with as much notice as possible to give us the best chance of helping you.
