Help Us Build Year-Round Sports at Kingsbury High

2nd Mar 2026

At Kingsbury High, our playing fields have recently felt more “swamp” than “sports pitch.” With the Great British weather living up to its reputation, too many PE lessons, training sessions and fixtures have been disrupted by waterlogged ground.

We’re therefore delighted to share that we have officially submitted a planning application for two new all-weather pitches. These improved facilities would enable our students to stay active throughout the year, whatever the weather, and ensure that lessons, clubs and competitive sport can continue without unnecessary interruption.

Although the formal consultation period has now closed, it is still possible to submit comments. Members of our community can do so by emailing planning.comments@brent.gov.uk. (This email address is also provided when viewing the application online and attempting to leave a comment.)

If you would like to support the application, please ensure that you:

  • Include the application reference number 25/0810 in the subject line
  • Provide your full name and address
  • Clearly state that you are writing in support of the application

Brent Council will consider community feedback as part of its decision-making process. A strong show of support from parents, carers, alumni and local residents would make a meaningful difference.

Thank you for continuing to champion opportunities for our young people. With your support, we hope to transform our current muddy challenges into a year-round sporting success for the whole school community.
