Year 13 CERN Trip

The Physics Department organises a trip to the CERN in Geneva, Switzerland, to visit the LHC (Large Hadron Collider), which has featured in the news in the recent years. This trip is a fantastic opportunity for students to extend and enrich their knowledge and gain a wider insight into their subject area. It is relevant to the curriculum of A-Level Physics and specific topics associated with particle physics. As CERN is also the birthplace of the internet, this trip promotes learning experiences in other STEM subjects such as Maths and Computing Science.
