Annual Cabaret

Annual Cabaret
15th Dec 2023

The annual staff and sixth form cabaret is a Kingsbury tradition so old that no one can remember when the first one was - but it’s likely to have been around 40 years ago. This year’s was a great success on Monday with student acts ranging from ballet, through a trumpet solo to a number of interesting guitar numbers culminating with a very creative dance production from the prefect team. Take your pick of the number of entertaining staff acts, the PEEL faculty, the stalwarts of many a cabaret and the pantomime dancers were out in force, Ms High only got dropped once during rehearsals and her landing on the night was perfect; Mr Cumbers and his team shook their legs and performed a passable can-can which would not have looked out of place in the Moulin Rough (typo intentional!). As ever, Mr Windrich supported with sound, light and a grand rendition of an Elton John song. Thank you too to ex-teacher Mr Viveash who came back to take photos of the night and the finance and caretaking and security teams for looking after us and helping to get the event off the ground.
