School Games

After a slow start with bad weather cancelling our first few planned events of 2024/25, we finally got underway with the Y5/6 Tri Golf and Badminton festival followed by the Brent Y5/6 Netball. This year for the first time our netball event was supported by Netball England, giving schools a chance to play high quality netball with a big focus on strict rules. Congratulations to Ark Franklin (1st place) and Newfield (2nd place) for placing and progression through to the West London Finals in June.

276 runners took to T field to compete in the Brent Y5/6 Cross Country this month. We saw the School Games values displayed in true spirit with one runner from Salusbury Primary stopping to help a runner from another school after she had tripped just short of half way round the course in the Y5 Girls race. Seeing smiles on faces as runners cross the finish line is one thing, but this at school level highlights the true value of competitive school sport.

A huge thank you to the Sports Leaders at Kingsbury High for supporting the borough events and a shout out to Skye and Angana in Y10 for being the course guide for all 4 races.

Barclays Girls Football Schools Partnership

This year The FA and YST are rewarding all schools that are delivering equal access in football in curriculum and extra curricular in all relevant Key Stages in their schools. We would like to congratulate schools who have achieved equal access in their schools.
