On Tuesday 26th of November, Kingsbury Sixth Form hosted their annual Open Evening from 5-7:30pm. We provided parents and carers, Year 11s and visiting students from neighbouring schools with the opportunity to discover more about the breadth of our offer in the Sixth Form. This included sharing information about the broad range of A Level subjects and BTEC courses. To support our young people to consider the different choices available to them, our enthusiastic and experienced subject teachers had helpful conversations about their Key Stage 5 (KS5) curriculums and possible subject combinations, which students can take. Extracurricular opportunities were also highlighted during the event, such as Duke of Edinburgh Gold, Higher Sports Leader Award (HSLA), Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and Debating. Our newly appointed KS5 Wellbeing Lead met with parents and carers to share useful strategies, such as how to support young people with exam stress. Finally, a large number of our Sixth Form students - current and former - supported the event. We are thankful to these students and to all the staff who contributed to the evening.
We welcome all applications to Kingsbury Sixth Form. Your son/daughter should have received an email from Applicaa, our Sixth Form admissions programme, to make an application. The deadline to make an initial application is by the 10th January 2025. Further information can be found on our school website: Admissions - Kingsbury High School
