English Speaking Union (ESU) Debating Competition

Kingsbury High School had the amazing opportunity to partake in the ESU Debating Competition in which I and my partner, Ibrahim N 13U, represented KHS. After successfully making it through the first round we competed in the second round which took place on the 14th of January. Three riveting and thought-provoking debates took place with the six schools that made it to the second round.

All six schools engaged in discussion on various topics including globalisation, copyright and the implementation of tax on fatty foods. Unfortunately, we didn’t make it into the final round, but we’re grateful for the experience and the valuable skills we gained along the way. It’s been a great learning opportunity, and we’re proud of how far we’ve come.
