Alumni returns to give assembly presentation 25 years after leaving KHS
We were delighted to welcome Pauline Maburutse, one of the Trustees from the Chiva charity, and Dr Nadia Ahmed, a Consultant HIV & Sexual Health Physician, to our Year 10 assembly on Thursday 16th January. Pauline and Nadia came to raise awareness of the facts and myths about HIV and for students to be a voice to be break down the stigma unfortunately associated with the disease. It was great to see our Year 10s being interactive in the assembly and asking thoughtful questions.
It was also very special to welcome Dr Nadia Ahmed back to the school after 25 years, the last time she was in K hall was sitting her A level exams. It was great to have alumni present on what they are working on now and for students to see the journey from school she has made. We were very delighted to reunite her with the prefect book that she had signed 25 years ago as one of former deputy head girls. Always great to see ex-Kingsbury students doing so well.
