Excel Day

Our second Excel Day of the year took place on Wednesday 12th March and a number of activities took place. All of Year 7 participated in teambuilding activities and challenges. Year 8 took part in anti-bullying, Unifrog and Ghostly Theatrics sessions. Year 9 had a taster of GCSE subjects which should have helped them in preparation for their Options Day. All of Year 10 participated in a PSHE Day, topics included gangs, grooming and misogyny. Year 11 students all took part in interviews to prepare for their post- GCSE plans. Year 12 were preparing for future employment by participating in topics such as interview skills and CV writing. Year 13 took part in a health and wellbeing day.

We would like to say a huge thank you to the five colleges that attended our Excel Day including Uxbridge and Harrow Colleges, Capital City College Group, City of Westminster College and Stanmore College.

The staff were very friendly and asked appropriate questions of our Year 11s, giving them relevant information and advice about courses and apprenticeships on offer. The Year 11s felt welcomed and had a positive overall, while discussing their next steps.
