Year 12 Awards Assembly

On the 23rd of June, we were fortunate to have Barry Gardiner (MP for North Brent) and the DVS foundation visit Kingsbury High School to present awards to our Year 12 students. Students were nominated for awards by their subject teachers based on the school values of Aspiration, Integrity, Responsibility, Resilience and Respect.

The DVS Foundation Awards Programme was launched in 2021. The programme runs across a number of state schools in London. The key aim of the awards is to recognise the achievements of Year 12 students.

A unique feature of the programme is that each school is given agency to decide the name of the Award categories so they can champion the things that are most important in their individual school community and areas that may be harder to reward through the school curriculum.
