Religious Studies cuts to the core of the human condition. What should you believe? What should you value? What is right and wrong? What is the meaning of life? Our students leave KHS having delved deep into the complexities of the most challenging questions on truth, meaning and value. Students learn about the great world religions and engage with non-religious worldviews such as humanism and atheism. Our students ask good questions, think for themselves and speak on complex and controversial issues from a position of understanding and respect. Free expression is fostered and defended through discussion and questioning. Integrity and humility are developed through introspection and challenge. On completion of their studies of Religious Studies at KHS, students leave more confident with engaging in complex questions on morality and truth and with a breadth of understanding that prepares them for the diversity they will encounter as adults.
