Young Enterprise is offered as an enrichment programme at Kingsbury Sixth Form. Participating in Young Enterprise enables our students to develop the life skills, knowledge and confidence they need to succeed in the evolving world of work. Student participation with these activities promotes personal development and provides evidence of extra-curricular engagement, supporting higher education and employment pathways.
Kingsbury Sixth Form has had a great deal of success in Young Enterprise over the recent years. Our students have gained first-hand experience of business and entrepreneurship by setting up and running their own companies and producing and selling goods and services, both inside and outside of school.
The success of each group’s business rests heavily on the imagination and determination of the students and the opportunities they use to make their businesses thrive, through the use of innovative marketing and business strategies. Every year, students have the opportunity to partake in business competitions, competing against 3,000 other teams across the UK.
Throughout their journeys, each member of the team develops the skill of teamwork and organisation, as well as learning how to enhance their business and marketing techniques. Each group must also complete a variety of tasks including producing company reports, financial documents and adverts, as well as designing a website. As a result, our students enhance their interpersonal skills, through public presentations and interacting with potential buyers. We are very proud of Kingsbury Sixth Form Students’ commitment to Young Enterprise and we look forward to facilitating their successes in the coming years.
March 2024 - Brent Cross Trade Fair - ‘Best Overall Company’
With impressive trade stands and presentations, Kingsbury Sixth Form teams have excelled, reaching the West London and London final stages in recent years.
“Our KHS Young Enterprise team, Zentelle Scents, attended the Brent Cross Trade Fair and won Best Overall Company! It was an enjoyable day in which the students displayed exceptional selling skills and resilience to win over the judges. The students have made significant progress and demonstrated resilience in the face of challenge, which has been refreshing to see. Their representation of the school has been nothing short of impressive and we are extremely proud of their achievements.” Young Enterprise Coordinator.
