Investigative Geography Coursework |
Independent research coursework (on a topic of your choosing), which includes: • extended writing • innovation in investigating and presenting data • self-directed study and • research techniques • making synoptic links between the real world, geographical theory, the learners own research and the specification. |
3 written exams (Units 1, 2 and 3) and independent investigation on a topic of the student’s choosing (coursework- work 20%)
Two compulsory field trips to undertake- one for physical geography and one for human geography. Students will plan and undertake the fieldwork and research for these components.
One coursework which is internally assessed (worth 20% of the final grade) on a topic or question determined by the student, to follow their own interests, curiosities or related to their intended field of further study.
